NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service is doing 1080 ground baiting using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) in Sydney Harbour National Park. This includes Chowder Bay and Dobroyd, Bradleys, Georges, Middle and North headlands. North Head includes adjoining land of Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, Australian Institute of Police Management, and Quarantine Station.
The program is continuous and ongoing between 1 February 2020 and 31 July 2020. All baiting locations will be identifiable by signs. Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. Penalties apply for non-compliance
Please be reminded that domestic pets are not permitted on NPWS estate. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in these reserves is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.

From Tuesday 31 December 2019, annual passes will no longer be sold at NPWS Middle Head office. Passes can be purchased online, in person or by phone.
- Bobbin Head Information Centre. 688 Ku-ring-gai Chase Road, Mt Colah 2079. Open 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week.
- Lane Cove National Park office. Max Allen Drive, Lindfield 2070. Open 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.

The lower 4 steps of Shark Island Wharf are closed due to a safety hazard. Using these steps for berthing, drop-off and pick-up is prohibited. Access is only possible using the upper stairs.
Small vessels and boats may not be able to berth, particularly at low tide.

North Head Scenic Drive gate closing and opening times will change in summer and winter. The following times include:
Closed areas: Fort Denison closed
- From Thursday 6 December 2018: In summer, the gate is open from 5am until 8.30pm
- From Monday 1 April 2019: In winter, the gate is open from 6am until 6pm
Fort Denison is closed to visitors until further notice, due to site maintenance. Penalties apply for non-compliance

Collins Flat Beach is currently unavailable for venue hire. This is due to the impact of high visitation on the critical penguin habitat at this location. This closure will be reviewed at the end of the breeding season in February 2020.
