Closed areas: Part of Sir Bertram Stevens Drive closed
The section of Sir Bertram Stevens Drive between Wises track and Bundeena Drive will be closed from Friday 4 September 2020. It is expected to reopen by late October 2020, weather permitting. Transport for NSW will be working to replace the bridge over Flat Rock Creek, and there will be no through access until this is complete.
Visitors can still access the Audley precinct, including the cafe, dance hall and boatshed, via Farnell Avenue.

Closed areas: Wattamolla access trail closed
Upgrade works to the access trail from the fourth carpark at Wattamolla to The Coast track are underway. The works will take place from Tuesday 4 August 2020 to late October 2020.
Whilst the existing trail from the top carpark to The Coast track will be closed during this period, The Coast track will remain open. Visitor access to and from Wattamolla to the Coast track will be via Providential Point. Please follow the signage advising the alternate route.
Local traffic through the top carpark will be maintained although with a reduced width due to construction works. For further information, please contact the NPWS Royal Area Office on 02 9542 0632 or send an email.

Closed areas: Access to Figure 8 Pools – Burgh Ridge track closed Mondays to Thursdays
Burgh Ridge track between Garawarra Farm and the Royal Coast track is closed during the week for major upgrade works from Saturday 1 August to Tuesday 1 December 2020:
This closure will impact people visiting Figure 8 Pools. Visitors can access Figure 8 Pools from Garie Beach and Otford lookout along the Royal coast.

Closed areas: Closed areas for pest animal management program
Some areas of Royal National Park will be closed to the public between sunset and sunrise to enable pest animal management programs to be carried out.
These closures will be signposted at the entry points to the closed areas.

Visitors who have approved bookings to camp can still access their campsites during these times.

Safety alerts: Audley precinct in wet weather
Access across the Audley Weir may be closed due to river flooding during times of wet weather. During wet weather, NPWS advise park visitors to visit Live Traffic NSW to ascertain the status of the Weir crossing before commencing their travel to the park. During times of closure, access to Bundeena, Maianbar residential areas, Royal National Park Visitor Centre, including the Audley Dance hall and cafe, is via McKell Ave Waterfall.
