Lane Cove National Park
This small but picturesque city park is a haven of peaceful bushland along the winding Lane Cove River. Home to the Kukundi Wildlife Shelter and 27 km of the Great North Walk, you can also hire a boat, take a stroll or enjoy a picnic by the weir.

All tracks, trails and remote campgrounds in this park are closed due to a Total Fire Ban being declared for Tuesday 19 November 2019.

.Other planned events: Lane Cove National Park cafe - temporary change to trading hours
The Lane Cove National Park cafe will be closed on weekdays from Monday 2 December to Friday 13 December inclusive. It will remain open on weekends during that time, and will return to normal operating hours on Tuesday 17 December. We apologise for any inconvenience.

A 1080 baiting program will be underway in Lane Cove National Park from Thursday 1 August 2019 to Friday 31 January 2020. The 1080 poison (sodium fluoroacetate) will be buried baits or ejector capsules, which are laid continuously and in an ongoing manner on tracks and trails in parts of this park. Do not touch baits or ejector devices as they contain poison. 1080 is lethal to dogs and cats and pet owners are reminded that domestic animals are not permitted in national parks.

Closed areas: Lane Cove National Park toilet closures
From Monday 7 December 2015, some toilets within this park will be closed during the week, opening only on weekends and public holidays. Toilets affected are:
- Blue Wren and Illoura (Areas 4-5)
- Carters Creek (Area 9)
- Scribbly Gums (Area 17)
- Bakers Flat (Area 28)
- Haynes Flat (Area 32)
