Closed areas: Flint and Steel track closed for upgradingFlint and Steel track is closed for upgrade works from Wednesday 17 February to Monday 19 April 2021. Flint and Steel Beach and Flint and Steel Bay will be accessible by water only.

Other planned events: Changed traffic conditions on Ku-ring-gai Chase RoadThere will be changed traffic conditions on Ku-ring-gai Chase Road, Mount Colah from 9.30am to 3pm on Wednesday 10 March until Thursday 11 March 2021, inclusive.
The closure is to allow for roadside vegetation works. At times the road may be limited to one lane only, with traffic controllers in place to control the flow of traffic. For further information, call NPWS Chatswood area office on 02 8448 0400.
Closed areas: Sections of Apple Tree Bay seawall fenced offSome sections of seawall in the Apple Tree Bay area will be fenced off for reconstruction from Monday 22 February to Wednesday 30 June 2021 for a seawall refurbishment project.

Many COVID-19 restrictions have now been lifted from visitor precincts and facilities in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
We encourage you to:
- Plan your visit outside of peak periods of 10am to 2pm
- Be prepared to move on if it is no longer possible for you to maintain a COVID-safe distance from other visitors. It is your responsibility to leave the area. Do not wait to be instructed by NPWS or police.
From Friday 29 January 2021, the maximum group size for an outdoor gathering will be increased to 50 people, including children. Groups are still expected to maintain social distancing and good hygiene.
The closure of toilets and other facilities will be decided on a case-by-case basis. Necessary site assessments will take place to consider the management of health and safety risk to visitors and staff, and available resourcing to maintain facilities. Access to sanitation products and running water cannot be guaranteed. We recommend bringing hand soap, hand wipes and toilet paper with you to maintain
good hygiene as advised by the NSW Government.

Other planned events: Annual maintenance and inspection - NPWS Cowan courtesy mooringsAnnual inspection and maintenance works are currently underway at NPWS courtesy moorings in Cowan. The moorings maybe temporarily unavailable for a short period while these works are completed.
Other planned events: 1080 pest managementNSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program is continuous and ongoing between Monday 1 February and Saturday 31 July 2021 in Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Don’t touch baits or ejector devices.

All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in this reserve is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.
