Brisbane Water National Park
Brisbane Waters National Park is situated south west of Gosford perched on the Hawkesbury River. The park is characterised by sandstone features, Aboriginal engravings, flowery heaths, bird life and spectacular water views. Brisbane Waters NP has many bushwalks through the are with the Great North Walk passing through the middle of the park.

Closed areas: Mount Wondabyne campground closure
Mount Wondabyne campground along Great North walk will be closed for maintenance from Monday 17 May to Friday 25 June 2021.
Pedestrians can still access the area and signposts will be in place around the work site.

A section of Piles Creek Loop walking track will be temporarily closed from Monday 3 May 2021 to mid-July 2021 for maintenance works. The walking track will be closed on the eastern side of Piles Creek between Illoura lookout and the intersection with the Great North Walk, south of Rat Gully.
The following areas will remain open:
- The section of walking track on the western side of Piles Creek, linking the suspension bridge and Girrakool Picnic Area.
- The Great North walk
- Girrakool picnic area and Girrakool loop walking track
